Exactly my point! =o) They view him as an investor. Well, in a way I
sort of read the "buy Ron some dress robes" as a sort of condition.
Nothing serious or contractual (is that a word?) I'm willing to bet
when they can afford to, they'd either pay him back or give Harry
freebies (for the upcoming war?) like I've seen others post about. I
don't see the any of the Weasley's as takers or moochers. Ya Ron may
complain & groan, but 2 things here.. #1- I don't know of any teen
boy who doesn't complain & groan when their mother tries to pick out
their clothes and #2- It's going to drive him to succeed in life to
be able to afford the things he couldn't afford growing up.
