Yes, I agree. If indeed we will learn that Petunia took Harry ONLY 
because of the goodness of her heart (and by that I don't mean much -
 only that deep inside she did not want her nephew to die), I will 
give her credit.

If though her taking Harry in was the result of some kind of bargain 
with Dumbledore (Boy, do I want to know what "remember my last" 
means), she does not get a credit from me.

I think though that it is possible for Petunia to be redeemed in the 
future books. I am not quite sure yet, but I do want Harry to have 
at least one living relative with the shred of decency left.
