I can't see Mrs. Weasley being a valid character without her husband
to contrast her tirades and balance her personality, so perhaps a
Cruciatus to St. Mungo's with the Longbottoms?

Yeah, I wonder if the cover of the HBP is showing Ron looking up at 
the sky. He sees the dark mark, but doesn't yet realize that it's 
over his parents house in the Burrow.

So on the right of the book you see Lily, just before Harry became an 
orphan; and then on the left you have Ron, who has yet to realize 
that his parents are going to die.
