Yes, I think that Draco is the archetypal bully: full of it when he's 
surrounded by his friends and protectors, the phsyically indimidating 
Crabbe & Goyle, and sycophantic hangers on such as the giggling 
Slytherin girls, but a frightened coward when left to his own devices.  
Each time he's gone into the Forbidden Forest he's been clearly 
terrified
