Who owns the Riddle house now?

Sorry for bringing this up. I'm sure it's been discussed, but I never 
have much luck when searching for posts. I always seem to come 
up with the exact opposite of what I'm looking for. 
 
But my question is, does anyone think the current owner of the 
Riddle house is important?  Or have any guesses as to who
he/she is?  All that I remember from GoF, is that they have it
for "tax purposes" or at least that's what the locals think.  It just 
strikes me kind of odd that JKR mentioned that it was owned by
someone who never went there, wouldn't it have been easier to just
say that it was abandoned, if it weren't to come in to play later on?
 
Any thoughts?
