I understand what both of ya are saying, but for one moment 
have you ever just thought that Lily just loved her child? And 
just natural love gave Harry the protection? Of course, I'm sure 
Dumbledore has studied the old magic and knew how to protect Harry 
growing up but really, come on, any woman who has children knows 
that because they love their child they'll do anything to protect 
them; it's in our nature. You hear of it all the time, mothers 
going beyond the call of duty to save their child. Why does it 
have to be complicated? It's really simple - a love between mother 
and child is magical all in itself.
