Furthermore, this could be the answer to the question "How is Snape able to 
continue as a double agent when most of the WW knows he's ostensibly working 
for Dumbledore?"  Perhaps even if Voldemort is a Legilimens, Snape's smoke 
screen of rage and hatred -- two things Voldemort wouldn't care about or be 
surprised by -- are keeping him from learning the truth.
