But an alternative view might be that because Harry is wizard-born, the
automated routine that sends out the booklists would have recorded him that
way and just assumed that he had a parent who would have long since put him
wise to the ways of living in a world that runs on magic.
That's one of the reasons that Hagrid had to go and guide him over the
threshold
But JKR alone knows all
