Potioncat:
Ron's new wand had the same core as the old one. Although I don't know 
if we ever knew what the old wand's wood was. (Try saying that fast!) 
So the old one may have been a close fit already.

Were we ever told the details of Frank's wand? While we didn't see a 
drastic change in Ron's wand waving, we also weren't given much 
opportunity to see any. It will be interesting to see how Neville does 
now.
