How do Hogwarts' muggle-borns drop off the radar?

That's a good idea, but in order to be registered the school 
would need an actual address - and I'm having trouble figuring 
out what is accessible to muggles, and what exists through 
hidden doorways. For example, even though the Hogwarts 
Express leaves a magical hidden platform, Harry and Ron could 
chase it in their car. They didn't go through any magic gateway... 
did they?
