I was surprised, too.  I went thru OotP and didn't see anything to link 
them other than they carried Harry's trunk into Grimmauld place 
together.  And there was a couple of times Lupin spoke right after 
Tonks.  But otherwise NOTHING!  Not even when Tonks bit it in the MoM 
during the fight (which allowed Bella to go after Sirius).
