Hickengruendler:

Another reason might be, that now, that Aragog is dead, there is 
noone anymore to controll his spawn. If I were living in Hogwarts, I 
would be really uneasy about the idea that a group of very large and 
out-of-control spiders is living in the forest near the castle. Maybe 
the spiders will be another danger in book 7.
