Given her unique abilities as a metamorphmagus, I would not be 
surprised if she was Harry's bodyguard or had some sort of post in 
Hogwarts.  Her appearances were a surprise to me as well.

Speaking of metamorphmagi, do they have distinctions that are 
recognizable to other wizards, like the animagi do?
