The Missing Horcrux

Please forgive me for spoiling the book for you, but Harry and the others had their hands 
on the real horcrux when they cleaned out the cabinet in the Black House.  In the 
OOTP,Chapter 6, page 108, I have the Adult British version, they come across "a heavy 
locket that none of them could open".  Earlier in the same chapter, page 104 we learn that 
Regulus Black, Sirius's younger brother, was killed by LV.  It all makes sense if the author 
of the note found in the fake locket, page 609 in HBP US Version is Regulus A. Black.
JKR is always slipping in little asides that become important later.
