Eileen finds herself in the family way, her wizard boyfriend is no 
where to be found. She marries a willing, but ignorant Muggle and 
Severus is born just short of 8 months after the wedding. (as the 7th 
month dies)

and gave him the DE-secret-name of Half-Blood Prince.

He has the power of occlumency, to name one.

After the incident on the tower, LV can hardly afford to let Snape 
live. Snape can't wait to kill LV.
