Thank you all for your well-thought out responses. I see now that 
Harry does have the capacity to feel love not only towards his 
friends, but also towards his enemies. 

I too think that the Harry-Snape dynamic will play a major role in 
the eventual destruction of Voldemort. Perhaps, Snape's loyalty to 
Dumbledore (yes, I think Snape's still on the side of 'good':) will 
be revealed to Voldemort, and Harry, realising his error, will jump 
in to save his life (thus repeating history), and Snape will do the 
same for Harry.
