I thought of this also! I remembered Harry saying something about how
a few laps around the Prefect's Bathroom Tub was fine, but he had
never had lessons from the Dursleys. It does make you wonder a bit...

I don't think this is true based on his fear of having to go into the
lake during the 2nd task of the Triwizard Tournament and his mention
of never having lessons.
