Slughorn a dead end topic?

Isn't anyone interested in Slughorn?  I posted a couple of days ago and 
no-one at all responded.  I was postulating that he could have faked 
Dumbledore's death; maybe that's why I got no bites?  Or I just got 
swallowed up by the other posts.  (Thinking hopefully.)  I find him to 
be a compelling character.
