I don't think the vote is in on Snape by any means. I just reread the
Tower scene, paying particular attention to Snape's reactions, and,
well...
There's a wonderful verse in one of the songs in The King and I:
Is a danger to be trusting one another,
One will seldom want to do what other wishes;
But unless someday somebody trust somebody
There'll be nothing left on earth excepting fishes!
I kind of think that is where Dumbledore draws the line, and what it
means for Snape is still evolving.
