I'm not sure these theories hold up, because both would require that
Dumbledore's injured hand occurs at the time of or after the
Unbreakable Vow at Spinner's End. But Snape appears to be referring
to that injury earlier in the Spinner's end scene, when he tells the
sisters "I am pleased to say, however, that Dumbledore is growing old.
The duel with the Dark Lord last month shook him. He has since
sustained a serious injury because his reactions are slower than they
once were."
