The second chapter of HBP is a shocker - I literally gasped as I 
was reading it.  The middle portions of the book were hot and cold.  Actually, I enjoyed them a lot more when I read it for the second 
time and wasn't so anxious to find out what happens.  I was able to 
slow down and enjoy the story more.  The ending is also quite 
shocking.  

If you like the characters, I think you will enjoy seeing how they 
have grown and changed.  For instance, the Twins behave much more 
like the adults they are becoming.  Harry gains so much confidence 
in himself.  He is not the whiny teen of book 5.
