Speaking as a Snape agnostic, I advocate a Stuck In the Middle - 
Trapped on a Tightrope or SIM-TOT!Snape, someone who made bad choices 
which led to even more difficult situations and choices, someone who 
really hasn't been dealing with the whole mess very well, someone who 
is probably still SIM-TOT and may remain so until he, sadly, dies.
