The significance of Harry having Lily's eyes

Something I was thinking about when pondering the whole eyes
question...

"The eyes are the window to the soul."  

So with Harry having Lily's eyes... are we seeing a clue to something
more about what is protecting Harry?  Perhaps there is a magical
connection between Lily's soul through her sacrifice?  Has she passed
her soul to him?  I really don't have the answers, but am intrigued by
the possiblites... I'm sure all of the clever minds on this board will
be able to offer some ideas!
