Potioncat:
I actually liked the Christmas party scene. Draco was acting like a 
teen who thinks he's grown-up, resents anything the authority figure 
says and has to prove himself by rebelling.  Snape actually showed a 
great deal of patience. Of course, the motivation in this case was 
multiples over normal teen-parent interactions.

Potioncat, who has had a few resentful teen-parent interactions...but 
not about following Dark Lord's orders.
