Half-Blood Prince- Dumbledore

Hi Everyone,
  I was wondering if anyone else caught the fact that Dumbledore was 
looking haggard and worn during most of the book, and was wondering if 
he had managed to put part of himself into an object (probably Fawkes 
the Pheonix) so he could come back to help Harry battle Voldemort in 
the last book.
  It may also be possible that Snape isn't as bad as he acted there at 
the last, especially if he was in on this fact...
  I have enjoyed the books tremendiously, and look forward to the last 
one.
