Betsy Hp:
I agree (yay!) that Blaise is very much detached when it comes to 
Voldemort.  He's certainly seems less passionate than Draco and so 
would only join Voldemort, or stand against Voldemort, if it was 
within his carefully considered interest to do so.

But how do you get that Blaise is smarter than Draco?  Blaise is 
certainly less *emotional* than Draco (as shown by his "just the 
facts, ma'am" routine), but actually more intelligent?
