I think that that's exactly what happened to Ginny in the movie, and 
I remember that advice in the book.  In the movie, Ginny seemed like 
a normal young teenager: coming into her own, recognizing more about 
her own personality, acting a little bit more grown up.  All of that 
appeared to make her more comfortable around Harry.
