Is there any canon indication of the color of dragon blood? Using 
dragon blood here would tie into 1) Slughorn's use of dragon blood 
to fake a break-in of the house in which he was squatting, and 2) 
Dumbledore's 12 innovative uses for the stuff. In /Order of the 
Phoenix/ Hagrid uses dragon meat (although it is described as 
green) on his black eye, which suggests that dragon products have 
healing properties.
