I too worry about a death/resurrection scenario -- We've "been there,
done that" with Aslan, and I would hope Jo gives us something more
original.  However, I think there may be ways she could "get away
with" a figurative or symbolic "death"/"resurrection" -- For example,
if Harry makes a trip beyond the Veil... and then returns.

It would, IMHO, also be ironic if Harry indeed destroyed LV, but
somehow it leads to the END of his fame.  I had this idea that
possibly Snape or even Umbridge might manage to seize credit and get to
bask in the glory, while Harry "fades into obscurity" -- Which I think
would suit him fine when all is said and done, but *would* be ironic.
