Well.... I guess you are being ironic, but I have to agree with it in 
non-ironic way. Montague IMO certainly deserved something to be done 
to him. I don't think Twins intended for him to suffer months of 
recuperation, but I have no problems with Twins intending him to 
suffer a bit. Again, I evaluate them mostly as tools to punish bad 
guys and provide laughs for their friends. In RL I would probably say 
that Twins should have found another way to deal with it.

Montague not just wanted to take a point from Gryffindor. Montague 
openly supported a creature, which I cannot even call a human being. 
I am talking about Umbridge of course. I DO think that while it does 
not make Montague a horrible person, what he did was bad and I think 
that Rowling thinks it was bad and does not mind Montague suffer.
