LOL, Ceridwen! Believe it or not, I expected somebody to make that 
comparison and I have to disagree that Twins and Snape are equally 
responsible , in fact I don't think it is even a close cut. But that is 
of course strictly my opinion.

Snape, IMO, could not expect anything else , but Voldemort going out to 
hunt and kill the unnamed couple and their baby.

I absolutely don't see how Twins could have expected AND intended for 
DE to come to school because they pushed Montague there. Again, JMO.
