But, Alla, Sirius did not have a trial.  He never had a chance to say 
guilty, not guilty, nothing.  He went straight from the scene of the 
crime to Azkaban.

That's what is so disturbing about Sirius's treatment.  There was no 
Prosecutor, there was no Defense, because there was no trial.  Sirius 
could have downed a whole gallon of Veritaserum and it wouldn't have 
mattered because there was no one around to listen.

Betsy, who is completely chilled by how much power Crouch had and how 
he chose to use it.
