I don't think she intended to do that, either.  However, what she
intended and what she has actually done are two different matters. 
And yes, I do think that the books come very close to doing exactly
what you mention.

Well, I think that is a marvelous idea.  If I thought for a split
second she would answer (or even read it) I would do so.  But I don't
believe she would read it (it would doubtless be intercepted by her
agent's secretary's assistant) or answer, so it would be a fruitless
exercise.  The best we can hope is that she addresses this issue more
meaningfully in the next two books.
