I agree, Geoff.  I would add to that, Dumbledore is grieving too.  I 
imagine the loss of Sirius (especially after such a recent return) is 
hard on Dumbledore.  Not that I think Dumbledore is horribly 
handicapped by that while talking to Harry in his office.  I think 
Dumbledore is mature enough to compartmentalize; take care of the 
living and then grieve for the dead.  But I can imagine that he would 
feel it a mistake to get pulled into Harry's emotions, in case his 
own emotions let loose.  His displayed exhaustion and the tear at the 
end suggest that those emotions are there and fairly close to the 
surface.

Betsy, who is absolutely horrid in these types of situations and has 
great admiration for those who can handle them with grace.
