I'm afraid this is a bit like an own goal for you. If
intentions count so much, then Snape gets a pass for
his treatment of Neville: his intentions are to make
the boy learn his potions, whatever it takes. So that
should excuse the less than perfect implementation
methods for the said intentions, right? :-)
