Elanor Pam:

I tend to think that Molly actually felt betrayed - that this intelligent,
friendly girl could do such a thing to a boy she considered part of her own
family. To think that she had actually trusted her!! That she had accepted
her in her own household!! Laughed along with her!! AND THEN!! Isn't there
supposed to be a little basis of truth to every rumor?

Just my take on her behavior. :D Molly clearly seems to me the kind to
overreact, and I think that's exactly what she did.
