Actually, after reading Hans for a while, I have decided that two things are
occurring: Hans is doing a masterful job of focused interpretation, but
there also does seem to be some actual parallel evolution between alchemical
theory, and JKR's philosophy.

I won't go so far as to say that means there is a deliberate or intentional
link, or derivation--but that doesn't mean it's not a valid interpretation.
And given the convergences Hans has found, he may well have a good handle on
predicting the shape of things to come in books 6 & 7. Paths of wisdom that
run in similar channels, often reach similar ends.

That's about as far as I'll go, though.
