Geoff:
Bear in mind, though, that Harry /had/ performed involuntary wandless 
magic before he knew he was a wizard. I know that Neville was 
considered a Squib but the family, especially Great Uncle Algie, set 
out on a deliberate policy to de-Squib him. I can't see Petunia and 
Vernon thinking along those lines :-)
