I agree with Steve, mainly because that would also
explain why Harry hasn't seen them before.  He was
present when his parents dies, however, he was too
young to really have to deal with it.  He's grown up
without knowing his parents, so their loss is not felt
as much as having competed against Cedric in the TWT
and for Cho.
