Just to muddy the waters, I've often wondered about this little 
remark:

"...and Snape, of course, would no sooner let them play games in 
class than adopt Harry."  What an odd thing to say.  What an odd 
comparison.  Could this theory lead to a tie-in?  Hmmm...
