That's exactly what I mean, and what I miss. He is fifteen years old
after all, old enough to know right from wrong apart from his feelings
for the person he wronged.

I don't expect anything from Snape. Bodily he's an adult, but adult
behaviour is not something he seems te be good at in a lot of cases,
socially he is an invalid, there's something broken there which may
never heal. Harry however, is supposed to be a normal human being, who
is capable of learning and growing. I would love Snape to be able to
make such a huge leap in his development, but I don't really believe it.
