Yes, I frankly don't even see how it is disputable that he loved the 
boy. Of course, he will look for some of his best friend in his son. 
It is understandable, after all he did love James like a brother.

But TO ME the things Sirius did for Harry do prove that he loved 
Harry for himself.

And since I do take interviews into consideration, don't forget that 
according to JKR Sirius' love for Harry was his greatest redeeming 
quality.
