Officially, the reason we're given for the fact that it's Snape who
teaches Harry Occlumency and not DD, is that DD was afraid Voldemort
would spy on him through Harry. So it appears Snape became Harry's
teacher for lack of a better alternative. It could be that DD,
trying to make the best of the situation, deluded himself into
thinking the enmity would be a bonus, but I doubt it was part of the
plan (I'm not an adherent to the Puppetmaster!DD theory).
