In GoF and OotP Hermione spends a lot of her summer holidays with the 
Weasleys, we could probably assume she shares a room with Ginny. Not 
to mention all the times Hermione, Harry and Ron are in the common 
room where they could spend time with Ginny. Also they're in the DA 
together. Plenty of time together.
