I'm glad you reminded me. I had intended to mention that.
When Ron passes Pig to Crookshanks for the sniff test, he asks,
What do you think? Is it an owl or not? (not a direct quote because I
don't have my book.)
Crookshanks has no doubt that Pig is an owl. (And neither do I) His
problem with Scabbers was that he wasn't a rat. But Pig is truly an
owl and thus passes the sniff test.
I still think that we should be suspicious of little Pigwidgeon.
