Tonks here:

I do see Snape as basically an unemotional type, except where Harry 
and the Mauraders are concerned. Are you saying that he is really a 
very angry man?  And his aloof air is really part of his anger?  And 
if so, how could he be a good spy if he were that easy to ignite?
