We don't know what the real Moody would have done - having seen Draco 
send a curse at Harry. He may well have turned him into a Ferret 
(from an experienced, scarred (reputedly paranoid) Auror, that would 
have been a *reflex* - to save Harry), AND, just like Crouch!Moody, 
asked Harry that very question. 'Did he get you?'.

It's that *bouncing* I find questionable. Dunno, perhaps even the 
real Moody would have used that manner to punish Draco, but oh well.
