The full Wizengamot in OoP sure didn't seem to contain anywhere near
the hundreds of people we're talking about, but it doesn't really
matter because we are still talking about hundreds of people and I'm
not very impressed with the quality of the people (Umbridge) on the
Wizengamot. There is no way that many people could keep a secret for
over a decade.

There is not a hint of that in the books, you're just inventing magic
out of thin air to make your theory fit. There is no theory however
ridiculous that I can not make fit the facts if you just allow me to
create the right magic spell. But what fun is that?

The book says that about werewolfs not "former" death eaters like the
Malfoy family who still have respect in the wizard world; in fact I
have a hunch that many, perhaps most, of those parents you're talking
about were themselves former Death Eaters or at least sympathizers.
Besides Snape later acted the hero as a spy.

It's not wise at all unless the spy's cover had already been blown.
