Paradox of Time Travel in PoA

Dave's post made me think that there really should be an 8th book - 
but it should be Dumbledore's diary, or something like that, where 
we find out exactly how he masterminded everything that happened 
through all 7 books.

Why would you give an 11 year old, with no experience in magic, an 
invisibility cloak - knowing what Dumbledore knew?  That is just one 
question among hundreds that have been asked...wouldn't it be sweet 
if we had Dumbledore's words to let us know the truth?
