If there's any significance to Ginny's possession, I'm sure 
Lucius Malfoy would inform LV.  As to having two Dark Lords, 
phoenixgod2000 mentions JKR's quote that if Riddle had 
succeeded, "it would have strengthened the present day Voldemort 
considerably"(JKRowling.com FAQ, thanks Madam Scoops).  I'm sure 
since Ginny told Riddle what happened to his future self, he would 
have tracked him down and revived/merged with him somehow.
